I have hesitated for quite some time to start a blog because I was not sure if I could keep it up and I was right! It has taken me 5 weeks to make another post :-)
So I would love for you to know a little about my scrapbooking history. I began keeping memories ten years ago after a tragedy in my family. My mother and grandparents passed away in house fire and it made me realize there were so many untold stories and family history I would never be able to learn or see. It led me to start documenting the memories of my young family using Creative Memories.
After a couple of years I was trying to find new things and found the best LSS (local scrapbook store) in the US, Scrapbook Generation in Springfield, MO. Then my love affair with pretty paper began! Also, the Sketch Books by Allison and Debbie had me hooked. My BFFs and I enjoyed many Saturday classes and shopping sprees there.
Alas, the job I love moved me to Green Bay, WI and away from my LSS and my scrappy BFFs. I was forced to expand my horizons and discovered the online scrapping community I never imagined existed! Online galleries, blogs, and forums have shown me a whole new way to get crafty and I am loving it. Not to mention, a feeling of friendship for a girl who is really shy and a minimum of a 12 hour drive away from any friends or extended family.
So here I am, one year later, after stumbling upon Studio Calico and their CHA 12 Summer sneak peaks anxiously awaiting the sneak peaks for CHA 13 of all the brands I love like Crate Paper, Amy Tangerine, Elle's Studio...the list could go on and on.
I promise I won't wait another five weeks :-)
